Barbara Kayondo is an accomplished academic with eleven years of experience in lecturing. She holds Master’s degrees in Management of ICTs, Policies, and Architectural Designs, as well as Monitoring and Evaluation. Barbara has published research papers in reputable journals and authored an ICT textbook which was certified by National Curriculum Development Centre and recommended for use secondary schools and tertiary institutions. Barbara is driven by a passion for philanthropy and aims to provide educational opportunities for underprivileged children, making a positive impact on society. In addition, Barbara is deeply committed to coaching, mentoring, and capacity building, particularly for junior staff and students. She has successfully established communities both in Kampala and at MUBS (EA Kampala and EA MUBS), with a primary focus on conducting impactful research that benefits both the current and future generations. Furthermore, Barbara takes on the role of organizing the proposal and grant writing group within the Information Systems department. In this capacity, she facilitates the mobilisation of resources to strengthen and advance the department and its faculty

• I am passionate about bringing services closer to needy children; I help vulnerable children, by connecting them to philanthropists who help pay their fees and, and also, helping the needy children apply for the government loan scheme some have graduated and other are still pursuing their degrees.
• I am a community builder for effective altruism Kampala (EA Kampala) and Effective Altruism MUBS (EA MUBS). I promote Effective Altruism philosophy in Uganda, by emphasising evidence-based decision-making and impactful research to drive positive change and empower individuals
• I inspire and encourage girls to develop an interest in STEM fields. I took the lead in organizing and guiding a group of girls to participate in the RAN coding challenge, motivating them to explore and engage in coding activities.
